MATARIKI- WEAVING

Image
Amazing Arewhana made these by weaving kebab sticks through the picture of our Matariki. We learnt that Matariki is the Māori New Year and stands for new beginnings. That is the time for Harvesting the food and celebrations. We enjoyed making these and learning about Matariki. Thank you for viewing our blog.

Amazing Arewhana are lucky enough to have Manurewa Football Club sportsman to come and share their skills with us. We learnt how to control the ball by listening to instructions. We used most of our body parts, for example our foot, knee, bottom, back, stomach and head. It was a lot of fun. And we can't wait for every Thursday, because the guy they sent, he will be back to share his knowledge with us again. Thanks for visiting our blog.
