OUR WEEK OF LEARNING..

Image
Malo nī. Hello. This week we had the pleasure in learning a new culture, Tokelau. We learnt some words, and found that they are similar to the Samoan language and the Niuean language. (Using the f, and k, letters in their words.) Their National anthem sounds very traditional like the Tongan National anthem.  We drew the flag and we learnt about the meaning of their flag, this is a very nice meaning and I wish we all were good fishermen and navigate the waters to feed our families. _________________________________________________________________________________ Also we have been learning about Protecting our Earth and how to improve it. We drew the Earth and have written inside our earth of how to protect our Earth. Thank you for visiting our blog. Amazing Arewhana

From wearing the dress wear to making Divas with Miss Aruja. Such an awesome experience to have the resource of Diwali our classroom. Also with the Niuean language, the children were able to sing and dance a little of Niuean culture. We were lucky enough to have Alfriston College present their Niuean Group and share their niuean style. We also had our own Niuean Group present their niuean culture to the school too. Was a great week with it ending with great celebrations of DANCE. Thank you for visiting our BLOG.
