Anzac Day

Image
Doreen Ezekiel Rehu Last term Amazing Arewhana talked about Anzac day. We spoke about the importance of the day and why we celebrate it and have a holiday on that day. During the holiday some family members went to a Dawn Parade. That is what we talked about when we came back.  In week 1, Amazing Arewhana read a book called 'Dawn Parade'. This gave the children a bigger picture of the dawn parade for some families when they go to celebrate Anzac day. Here we have some published writing. We drafted our writing with simple sentences, then we revised our writing to see if we could make some changes in it. Once we proofread our work, some of us were able to publish our work.  If you have time, please come to our windows as we have some writing up for all to read.  Leave a comment too. Thank you for visiting our blog.

We have a new 'Team Leader', Mrs Turu. She has come from 'High Flyers' and has accepted the role of being our Team Leader. We are really excited to have her in our team as she has started the 'Tidy Kiwi' Award, which means our classes and cloak bays need to be clean all the time and we will be told who the winner is at each assembly. We will always be trying to keep our class clean inside and outside our classroom. We also have a new teacher in our team. She is in
